COMPLIANCE & CUSTOMER QULAITY MANAGER
Background & Purpose of the Job:
Serve as the U.S.-based operational quality and compliance lead for Groupe SEB products placed on the U.S. and Canadian markets under its different brands (T-Fal, All-Clad, Imusa, Lagostina), with primary responsibility for Cookware and defined support for Small Domestic Appliances. The role combines customer and retailer audit management, regulatory intelligence and qualification, local coordination of compliance actions, and authorized execution of regulatory documentation.
Protect market access and business continuity by maintaining audit readiness and timely, consistent responses to customers, retailers, and authorities, including third-party testing.
Perform regulatory analysis by detecting, and qualifying emerging federal, state, and provincial requirements early, then share the assessment synthesis done to the appropriate Business Unit compliance teams for product-impact assessment, and ensure appropriate follow-up
Act as the local interface among U.S. and Canadian teams, Cookware and Small Domestic Appliance compliance, Central Compliance, Legal, Public Affairs, Development, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
Represent Groupe SEB in relevant North American industry associations; Public Affairs retains ownership of government advocacy and formal public-policy positions.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do:
Customer, retailer, and audit management (70% of the activity)
Own preparation, coordination, response, and follow-up of audits and action plans for customer and retailer in the United States and Canada.
Coordinate accurate and timely answers to customer, retailer, and authority compliance requests, escalating material risks promptly.
Pilot third-party product testing required by retailers: communicate with them about testing requirements, communicate on corrective action plan if any issues, sign various retailer declaration documents.
Maintain audit evidence, commitments, and corrective-action records; monitor closure and effectiveness.
North American regulatory intelligence
Monitor, detect, analyze and qualify proposed and adopted federal, state, and provincial requirements relevant to Groupe SEB products and operations.
Interpret these local requirements consistently, by summarizing scope, timing, obligations, risks and potential business exposure; transmit qualified information to the relevant compliance owners; insure turning regulatory developments into concrete action plans rapidly
Participate actively in relevant industry associations and build local networks that improve early warning and interpretation.
Compliance execution and governance
Coordinate local implementation with Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, Legal, and the appropriate Business Unit teams, while preserving the agreed division of accountability.
Ensure U.S. and Canadian validation records, declarations, and supporting evidence are complete, traceable, current, and stored in the designated global repository.
Prepare and, when formally authorized through a written delegation of authority, sign compliance attestations or submissions to local authorities within the defined legal scope.
Provide defined North American compliance support for Small Domestic Appliances and route technical assessments to the relevant Business Unit experts.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, materials science, quality, regulatory affairs, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Typically 7 or more years of relevant experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, customer quality, or audit management in consumer goods, cookware, food-contact materials, or a related regulated industry.
Working knowledge of U.S. and Canadian product-compliance frameworks, including federal and state or provincial requirements; ability to interpret new requirements and explain their practical implications.
Demonstrated experience with customer or retailer audits, corrective-action management, compliance documentation, and direct responses to external stakeholders.
Strong judgment, integrity, and attention to evidence and traceability; comfortable escalating uncertainty and material risk.
Ability to lead through influence in a global matrix and to work across technical, legal, business, public-affairs, marketing, and supply-chain teams.
