Global Commercial Controller (m/w/d) fixed-term, 1 year
To strengthen our Global Commercial Controlling team, we are looking for an analytically strong and business‑oriented personality who creates financial transparency, explains economic interrelationships in an understandable way, and, together with our global Controlling and Commercial teams, drives the profitable development of our Business Unit.
What you can expect
- Analysis and steering of global sales, margin and profitability development, including target/actual comparisons, variance and trend analyses
- Participation in strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, as well as consolidation and validation of international market and business plans
- Acting as a sparring partner for Controlling and Commercial Leadership Teams through profitability calculations, cost and process analyses, and price, product and customer profitability analyses
- Preparation of management reports, ad-hoc analyses and decision papers, as well as further development of KPI systems and dashboards using modern BI tools
- Ensuring high data quality and transparency of relevant performance indicators to enable data-driven steering of the global commercial business
- Support of global transformation and optimisation projects, including identification and implementation of automation, standardisation and harmonisation potential in controlling and reporting
- Active contribution to the further development of the global commercial controlling landscape and the underlying forecasting and steering models
What you need to succeed with us
- Successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Economics or a comparable qualification with a focus on Controlling/Finance
- At least two years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in Commercial Controlling in an international environment
- Sound knowledge of accounting, cost accounting, planning and financial analysis
- Strong understanding of commercial interrelationships and the key drivers of sales, margin and profitability
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with BI and reporting tools, such as Qlik, Power BI, SAP BW
- Experience in working with ERP systems, ideally SAP FI/CO
- Very strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented mindset
- Independent, proactive and reliable way of working
- Ability to prepare complex topics in an understandable way and to present them convincingly
- Strong communication and consulting skills as well as enjoyment in working with international and cross-functional teams
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
