Head of Commercial Controlling (m/w/d)
What you can expect
- Overall responsibility for controlling the sales market
- Sparring partner for the management teams of Global Commercial and Service
- Active support of sales and marketing by critically questioning assumptions and identifying risks and opportunities
- Translation of commercial strategies into financial planning
- Monitoring and analysis of key KPIs (revenue, margins, pricing, customer profitability, sales channel effectiveness)
- Development of strategic and operational recommendations for management
- Ensuring transparency regarding the financial performance of all commercial functions
- Continuous development of reporting standards and KPIs
- Improving standardisation, automation and data quality
- Helping to shape pricing strategies, discount policies and margin optimisation
- Managing and evaluating global tenders with regard to financial KPIs
- Responsibility for budgeting, forecasts and long-term financial planning
What you need to succeed with us
- Master's degree in finance, business administration, economics or a related field; additional qualifications such as CPA, CMA or MBA are an advantage
- At least 8 years of professional experience in controlling, finance or business analysis, preferably in an international, commercial environment
- Experience in working with sales, marketing and business development
- In-depth knowledge of commercial finance topics (margin analysis, pricing strategies, forecasting, ROI, business cases)
- Very good knowledge of Excel, ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with IFRS or local accounting standards and corporate governance
- Ability to translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for action
- Management experience with strong leadership and development skills
- Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills and implementation-oriented team player
- High level of initiative, sense of responsibility and strong communication skills
Business fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of German an advantage
