This role is based in Scarborough and is hybrid.

This position requires a strong team member to support the development and execution of all elements of the marketing program. This role is a blend of strategic and tactical competencies and is crucial to the effective execution of marketing strategy to achieve sales and profit results, as well as the optimization of market share. The Junior Product Manager is required to continually demonstrate highly effective, time management, organizational, strategic, and creative marketing capabilities.

  • Establish, maintain, and provide expert knowledge of assigned categories including sales and POS tracking and reporting, category insights, market trends, consumer needs, and competitive threats.
  • Develop category plans by incorporating market, shopper, customer, and consumer insights to grow and maintain respective category presence through the right product mix and development, in collaboration with respective strategic business units.
  • Marketing Plan development, including identification of strategic new products, brand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats through proper analysis and evaluation of market demands and competitive activity from both a short and long-term business perspective.
  • Manages the day-to-day business processes to ensure effective and efficient business management to deliver budget commitment - Responsible for analytics on category including sales performance, market dynamics, promotional impact, product mix, and profitability.
  • Manage and ensure execution of all product launch-related components, including packaging, instruction booklets, POP, and merchandising.
  • Develop, organize, and present line reviews and business presentations for key stakeholder meetings including Retail partners, Commercial Department, Business Unit, Management Committee
  • Plan, develop, and implement sales promotions activities in collaboration with retail partners, sales department, and agencies.
  • Ensures continuity of communications strategy across all consumer touch points (traditional mass media, digital and social media, merchandising, PR, packaging, retail activation)
  • Work with respective strategic business units and international export managers to ensure market-appropriate product development and introductions.

 

 

Bring your competencies :

  • Degree in Business Administration (Marketing) with 1-2 Strong in the field of product management.
  • Fluent in English, French desirable.
  • Ability to think and act analytically as well as creatively.
  • Ability to consider different points of view = Flexibility.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to take calculated risks.  Team player / global player.
  • Experience in planning and executing sales-promotion activities.
  • Strong knowledge of product and customer structure.
  • Highly developed Communication & Presentation skills / Persuasiveness to sell the marketing action plans to the Trade and Sales Dept and Business unit
  • Time Management and organizational skills
  • Strong aptitude in MS-Office and ability to learn new internal company software(s)
  • Travel approximately 15%
