Market Intelligence & Category Strategy Lead (m/w/d)
What you can expect
- Develop a comprehensive market intelligence strategy in alignment with global senior stakeholders
- Manage and mentor a market intelligence analyst, fostering a high-performance mindset
- Collaborate with teams in North America and China to share best practices and data resources
- Promote a data-driven culture by ensuring data accessibility, usability, and providing training where needed
- Identify, evaluate, and manage data sources and external providers, including budget allocation
- Build and maintain qualitative and quantitative databases on consumers, customers, markets, and competitors
- Analyze trends, patterns, and opportunities and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
- Summarize major industry category trends and customer insights to derive strategic implications and actions
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (product management, service, digital, market intelligence, sales) to define relevant action plans
- Develop a category management platform to promote the right assortment and execution to customers
- Define and implement methodologies for market sizing, market share, and growth analysis in key product segments
- Create standardized approaches for tailored market potential analyses to support product development business cases
- Handle ad-hoc analysis requests based on business priorities
- Prepare high-quality insights, strategic briefings, reports, and presentations on key segments and competitive landscapes
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional meetings, driving discussions and building strong relationships across departments
What you need to succeed with us
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in data analytics, business/strategy, finance, or economics
- Solid experience in market intelligence, data analysis, category management, and/or strategic planning
- Proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects
- Experience working in an international environment
- Consulting background and knowledge of coffee or beverage equipment are nice-to-have assets
- Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in qualitative and quantitative analysis; advanced Excel skills (BI tools, Marketo, Google Analytics a plus)
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills to translate complex data into clear insights
- Strategic thinking with the ability to identify risks and opportunities and link them to business goals
- Effective stakeholder management and the ability to promote data-driven decision-making across teams
- Strong project management skills from planning to delivery
- High curiosity, adaptability, structured thinking, and a strategic mindset
Fluent English (written and spoken); German and French are beneficial
