All-Clad is renowned worldwide for its handcrafted, top-of-the-line cookware, and we have been crafting quality pots and pans for home cooks and professional chefs for over 50 years. Our cookware is bonded, engineered, and assembled in America, in Canonsburg, PA. We are seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to support our team in maintaining our excellence in craftsmanship for consumers worldwide.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do :

  • Support day-to-day production by problem-solving issues and working with Department Managers and Shift Supervisors to maximize safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Lead projects and implement corrective actions to reduce rework, scrap, and increase quality and production efficiency
  • Review the operations of manual, robotic, and automated equipment/systems to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate/solve problems promptly, and to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing best practices
  • Investigate new methods, processes, tooling and/or automation to increase safety, improve quality, increase efficiency, reduce changeover times, and reduce consumables costs
  • Support and Lead Continuous Improvement projects and activities such as Kaizen events, Lean activities, 5S, process documentation, and training
  • When provided a budget target (capital or expense) for a project, manage the project appropriately within budget
  • Maintain, adjust, and improve all tools within respective Production Department(s) to which they have been assigned responsibility
  • Develop and implement plans and programs using the DMAIC methodology (where applicable) for facility modifications and improvements to operating methods and processes
  • Participate in programs to maintain and enhance the safety culture of the site
  • Work with the Research and Development departments for the trial and implementation of new products
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to research, design, layout, install and implement new production equipment and processes
  • Work with outside suppliers to investigate new materials and tooling towards continuous improvement
  • Support the quality of All-Clad products through continuous improvements that improve the quality of the product as well as the consistency of the process

 

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a major in Materials, Metallurgy, or Mechanical preferred.
  • Knowledge of workflows, ergonomics, tooling, and lean manufacturing, either on-the-job or through academic projects
  • Experience in metal forming, machining, grinding, and/or polishing is a plus
  • Experience with the DMAIC Methodology and Lean Six Sigma is a plus
  • Experience in the areas of numerically controlled systems, robotics, and automation is a plus
  • Proficient in Computer skills with Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, ProE, or Solid Edge exp is a plus)
  • Experience with an ERP/MRP system
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
