This role is based in Scarborough and is hybrid.

 

This position requires a strong team member supporting product strategy and execution of all elements of the marketing mix. This role is a blend of strategic and tactical competencies and is crucial to the effective execution of marketing strategy and new product launches to achieve sales and profit results, as well as the optimization of market share. The Cookware Product Manager is required to continually demonstrate highly effective, time management, organizational, strategic, and creative marketing capabilities. They must have a strong focus on implementing strategy and managing projects while contributing new ideas and developing plans to drive departmental performance.

 Work closely with the Lagostina BU to bring to market new product launches.

Marketing Plan development

o    Identification of strategic new products, brand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats through proper analysis and evaluation of market demands and competitive activity from both a short and long-term business perspective.

Marketing plan activation

o    Leverage category, consumer & product insights to develop marketing communications objectives, positioning and key messages for new product launches.

o    Partner with the communication team on needs for product seeding, UGC content, and integrated communication activation plan to drive brand awareness and conversion (PR, ATL/BTL etc.)

o    Manage and ensure execution of all product launch-related components, including packaging/IFU (Lagostina), POP, and merchandising.

Market Research & Analysis: Establish, maintain, and provide expert knowledge of the cookware category including sales performance and POS tracking and reporting, category insights, market trends, consumer needs, and competitive threats 

Distribution Analysis: Identify, understand, and develop a product mix consistent with the appropriate retailer and respective target consumer requirements.

Competition: Gain understanding and provide strategic analysis on competitive activity via monitoring of competitive movements, market data, field observations, pricing strategies, distribution analysis, and communication initiatives.

Sales:

o    Develop line reviews and business presentations for key stakeholder meetings, including Retail Partners, Commercial team etc.

o    Maximize product portfolio to drive profitable sales across key channel partners. This includes assortment analysis, key promotions and new launches.

o    Plan, develop and implement sales promotions activities in collaboration with retail partners, sales department and agencies.

o    Spearhead communication on marketing activations to sales and trade partners

Product Quality & Customer Service: Ensure appropriate input on product quality, sales trends (with the sales associate), and consumer feedback. 

Internal Relations: Work in conjunction with internal logistics, sales, and quality control to ensure delivery of target sales and product introduction objectives.

Manage the day-to-day business processes to ensure effective and efficient business management to deliver budget commitment.

 

 

 

Bring your competencies:

  • Degree in Business Administration (Marketing) with 3 to 5 years' experience in the field of product management.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to take calculated risks along with aptitude to think analytically
  • Creative brand builder
  • Ability to implement Omni-channel go-to-market strategies with specific knowledge on digital path. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – must be able to drive collaboration across functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead marketing action plans to trade as well as sales department.
  • Highly developed presentation skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS-Office and ability to learn new internal company software(s).
