Background & Purpose of the Job:
As part of the marketing team, the Trade Marketing Analyst role will be essential in providing creative, analytical, and ongoing support to both the marketing and sales departments. This position will foster strong collaboration with sales, marketing, and sourcing teams to align trade marketing brick-and-mortar strategies with overall business goals, ensuring a cohesive approach. Additionally, the Trade Marketing Analyst will offer key support in areas such as sales presentations and proposals, sales and market analysis reporting, retailer and competitive analysis, trade shows, and the overall marketing department.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do :
• Support in brick-and-mortar planogram builds/creations and sales proposals.
• Create, maintain, and manage sales sheets database and ensure its accuracy.
• Showroom and sample management for marketing, sales and global sourcing departments, product sample requests as needed by accounts, sales reps, trade shows and other corporate events.
• Assist in optimizing Salsify and online catalogs as needed by accounts.
• Analyze sales data to assess the performance of trade marketing strategies and product placements, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Support marketing and sales team in the creation of marketing, market research (NPD) reports.
• Internal reporting for business reviews and sales department (New product arrivals, Market visit insights, sales analysis, POS, etc.)
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the cookware industry providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate with vendors the creation and distribution of effective marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and accurate distribution between teams and events.
What You’ll Need to Succeed :
• Field of Study/Profession: Bachelor’s in marketing, International Business or Business Management.
• Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint & Excel primarily).
• Strong math, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with proficiency in data analysis tools
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Excellent project management skills: ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines while meeting all objectives and deliverables on time in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexible, adaptable, & creative.
• Bilingual preferred – English/Spanish.
• Experience in trade marketing (brick-and-mortar) with large national retailing organizations, department stores, distributors & clubs, preferably in the Housewares sector.
• Self-driven individual capable of meeting deliverables with minor supervision.
• Willingness/ability to travel 10% of the time.
